IMAX's Sea Rex to premiere at Bristol Aquarium

With the UK premiere of a new IMAX 3D film this Easter, visitors to Bristol Aquarium will be able to come face to face with 200-million-year-old monsters from the deep.

Aimed at visitors of all ages and featuring a young woman called Julie on a voyage through time and space, SEA REX: Journey to a Prehistoric World explores an underwater universe inhabited by larger-than-life creatures which were ruling the seas before dinosaurs conquered the earth.

State-of-the-art CGI animation brings science to life in IMAX 3D as viewers experience an up close and personal encounter with the T-Rex of the seas - the massive Sea Rex.

Bristol Aquarium’s Mike Coe said: "Sea Rex is one of the very latest IMAX 3D films and has caused a real stir in America.

"We're extremely lucky to have managed to secure the film’s UK premiere here in Bristol and we're expecting it to attract bumper crowds over the Easter holidays."

Complementing the new film at the aquarium's four-storey tall IMAX 3D cinema, will be 'Sea Monsters', a series of themed events and activities taking place throughout the Easter holidays.
